Pretty Pottery
I love not-so-perfect pottery...I like to call it shapely pottery. The place we stayed at St. John had a ceramic studio, and I signed up for a class to make some pottery. Unfortuately it got canceled, so I never ended up taking it. But they had an art gallery with some handmade pottery. I just like the raw look. Soule Studio makes hand-painted pottery that I admire.

gorgeous stuff! we used to have a favorite ceramic "popcorn bowl" that was a wedding gift from a good (and uber stylish) friend. somehow it got broken, so she sent us a similar one as part of maya's baby gift when she was born. but earlier this year, maya broke that one. so now we're eatiing our popcorn out of a red plastic bowl. i miss our pretty ceramic one. i'm on the lookout for a replacement.
