Friends
I've had some really good friends celebrate my past birthday by taking me out to dinner. It's such a treat and I'm truly grateful! This past weekend, I caught up with some friends from my old work. It's always so fun catching up with them. We all started the same day, worked in the same department, had cubbies next to each other, went to lunch every day together and was there for each other through good and bad. Now they hold "important" jobs in the fashion industry. Sometimes it makes me sad because I miss all the excitement, perks and excelling through a company. It was actually a hard decision to quit my job and be a stay-at-home mom. But the sad moment stays with me for a second, and then I think about how lucky I am to be able to stay home and teach them and watch them grow. The worst day with my kids is better than the best day at my job.

I love this post. It's amazing what we give up to be home with our children. It is such a blessing to be a mother and I fully agree with you when you say your worst day with your kids is still better than your best day at work.

I love being home too. I do think it would be EASIER to pick up my career, but easier isn't always better.
Isn't that the truth? I loved your statement about the worst day at home still being better than the best day at work. It's definitely not so easy -- but worth it.
