Happy Weekend: Boston

Last week my kids had no school because it was winter break.  Somewhere warm and tropical was where I was hoping we'd be for the week, but instead we ended up in Boston--which is about 10 degrees colder than where I am.  We still had a really fun time.  We covered most of the Freedom Trail, which is historic and patriotic and makes me appreciate the country's founding fathers.  Boston has an amazing, modern four-floor children's museum.  My kids were in heaven.  If you have kids and are visiting Boston, the children's musuem is a must.  We stayed at the Omni Parker Hotel, which is very historic and where the boston cream pie was invented.  Yes, we tried the original--it was good.  My favorite site I saw on the Freedom Trail?  The USS Constitution.

do you have the pass to stepping stones? If you do, you get in free to the boston children's museum. (Should have told you that last week, I guess!) LOVE the children's museum (and Boston in general!)

wish you could have come to sunny florida with us though!! :)

Looks cold and fun at the same time. You do so much fun stuff as a family.

What a great break! You guys are quite the strong family to get out in the cold. But at least it was sunny. Did you go to the Boston Gardens?
