Play Weekend

One of my favorite things to do in the summer time is take advantage of all the free events and concerts. Every little town has a list of different events, and then the City has so many free activities that it's hard to keep track. Although probably the best ones I've seen are held in Central Park--like one time there was a free Dave Matthews Concert. This weekend I took the kids to see the musical play Pinocchio. Their eyes were glued to the stage. The music was great. And we met the composer and director of the play--he was still in college. I was so impressed. Then Seth and I escaped and went to Shakespeare on the Sound. Brought a dinner picnic, blanket and chairs. The play was modern-day Midsummer Night's Dream. There were a lot of funny parts, and good music. We had a lot of fun and the best part was that it was free.

  1. I wanted to go to Shakespeare on the Sound but it didn't work out! Too bad. Maybe next year.

  3. I'm glad you got out and had some fun. I always enjoyed the Shakespeare Festival in St. George.
