One Last Hoorah

We ended our summer fun with a quick trip back to Cape Cod for the labor day weekend. Weather was beautiful--a little nippy so a sweater was needed. But beautiful. This time I noticed the large windmills around the cape. And more cut-flower stands on the roadside. We headed to Chatham beach one day and what do you know...jaws was in town. Yup. Swimming was prohibited because they spotted great white sharks earlier that morning feeding off the seals. Yikes! Not just any sharks, but great white sharks. I didn't know they traveled so far north. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the beach and the tidal pools and all the camera men trying to get a glimpse of jaws. And the one I really had to watch was baby--no fear in him. He would just crawl right into the ocean.

Bye-bye Baby...

  1. Ah! I saw that on the news last night and wondered if you had gone up there this weekend. Jaws is the reason I WILL NOT go in the water. I would have had a panic attack if I had been with you. Glad you had fun and didn't get chewed to bits.

  2. I was listening to the news and heard the same story about the great whites! I love Chatham and was shocked they were in the area. Good thing your babies can't run into the water yet ;)

  4. Love the last horrah on the beach. We finally made it down to the Gulf Coast last weekend and it was heavenly. Thankfully we didn't have any sharks!
