Hangin' in the City

We spent a large part of last week playing in the City. There is something magical about the City during the holidays. Every where it's festive and decorative. And when there's snow, it even makes it better (besides stomping around it). I think my favorite day was when we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and saw the Christmas tree with the Neapolitan-area angel ornaments and nativity scene. Very beautiful! But they don't let you take pictures.

We did make the stop at the Rockefellar tree--although it's always so crowded.

The light show at Saks is always fun to see.

You could seriously spend a whole day playing at FAO Schwarz. The muppets workshop is so cool. You can pick out all the parts to make your own puppet. Oh, and American Doll store is down the street from FAO, Stella had an appointment to get her doll's hair styled.

Bergdorf Goodman had my favorite window displays. The picture doesn't show it but there was so much detail and lots of miniatures.
Not in the City, but we saw Disney Princess on Ice. Good seats. And after watching the show, I definitely had the princess handwave down.

  1. Looks like so much fun! I love the Christmas tree at the MET. It is one of my very favorite city Christmastime things.

  3. I would love to go and see that. I seriously need to save up for a trip there someday hopefully during the Christmas season.
