Mountain Retreat

Winter escapes to the mountain to enjoy a day of snowboarding is something I really miss since becoming a city girl.  So I was a little sad that there was no snow to be had on my visit to the beautiful Sierra Nevadas.  But staying at this amazing cabin made up for it and the breathtaking views of Donner Lake right from the comfort of being indoors.

Most of the cabin's furniture and built-ins were handmade with wood from the property.  Modern technology and heated floors made the cabin feel like a home.
